AFTER THE REPORT
Once the FRA is issued, the difficult work begins: clarifying scope, assigning ownership, obtaining quotations, coordinating access, progressing contractors and checking what has actually been completed.
Across a portfolio, the information quickly spreads across reports, action plans, spreadsheets, emails, site notes, photographs, certificates and client updates.
You are left trying to work out what is open, what is moving, what is blocked and what can genuinely be closed.
Actions split across FRA reports and action plans
Contractor quotations sitting in email chains
Site notes and photographs detached from the original action
Competing versions of spreadsheets
Certificates and sign-off documents stored elsewhere
No clear owner for the next step
Client updates built from incomplete information
The problem is rarely another report.
It is what happens after the report.Someone still has to establish the scope, obtain the quotation, coordinate the work, collect the evidence and keep the record accurate.
WHEN THE ANSWER IS UNCLEAR
The pressure appears in ordinary moments: a client asks for the current position, a building changes manager, or a contractor says the work is complete.
What actions are still outstanding?
Which are highest priority?
Who is dealing with each one?
Has it been quoted and progressed?
Has the work actually been completed?
Where is the evidence or specialist sign-off?
Can this action now be closed out?
If different trackers give different answers, or the evidence cannot be connected to the original action, confidence disappears quickly. You need a position you can stand behind.
THE PRACTICAL OUTCOME
The result is not another dashboard to maintain. It is a reliable working position across the portfolio.
Every outstanding action visible in one place
A clear status, owner and next step
Priority items and blockers identified
Quotations and remedial progress recorded
Completion evidence connected to the relevant action
Specialist decisions and sign-off clearly assigned
Client updates based on a current working record
Completed actions supported by suitable documentation
When the client asks, your answer comes from a current record, not a reconstruction of six inboxes and three spreadsheets.
HOW IT WORKS
There is no proprietary magic. The value is in disciplined execution and a record that stays current.
Each action keeps a clear owner, a practical next step and the supporting information needed to move it forward.
Review the existing FRA reports, action plans, trackers and related information.
Identify missing scope, ownership, quotations, access, technical input or evidence.
Coordinate the relevant contractors, specialists and property contacts.
Maintain the tracker, record progress and connect evidence to each action.
Confirm completion evidence and identify any competent sign-off still required.

CLIENT-SIDE AND INDEPENDENT
Firthmark is not tied to a particular remedial contractor. Where quotations or specialist support are required, the options can be considered around the action and the client’s needs rather than a contractor’s sales priorities.
Firthmark manages the actions and coordinates the process. Technical assessments, specialist design decisions, remedial works and formal sign-off remain with appropriately competent professionals.
Firthmark does not replace the responsible person’s legal duties. Clear boundaries are part of a reliable service.
WHY FIRTHMARK EXISTS
FIRTHMARK
Fire risk assessments identify what needs attention. The harder part is often what follows: establishing ownership, progressing quotations and remedial work, coordinating the people involved, and keeping an accurate record of what has been completed.
Firthmark exists to help commercial managing agents bring that work under control.
